Your tasks
- You will support the Export Control Officer in ensuring and monitoring compliance with customs and export control regulations in the company, taking into account the current legal situation.
- You will check and approve export processes (export list, EC Dual Use Regulation, sanctions lists, embargoes).
- You correspond with authorities such as the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, BAFA and customs office.
- You act as a cross-funtional contact for customs and export control issues.
- You will continuously monitor current changes in legislation and other applicable directives and regulations in customs law as well as import, export and preference issues.
- You will supervise, optimize and implement processes and create and update work and organizational instructions in close cooperation with the Export Control Officer.
- You will be involved in interdisciplinary projects and topics.
Your profile
- You have a degree and several years of professional experience in the areas of customs, import and export as well as export control.
- You have comprehensive knowledge of foreign trade regulations, in particular export/import-specific regulations, laws and requirements.
- You have in-depth knowledge of export control, US RE export control, compliance and the responsibilities of an export control officer.
- You are confident in dealing with the necessary foreign trade documents, as well as with the customs tariff / goods list for foreign trade statistics.
- You have solid experience in dealing with goods lists and authorization procedures.
- You can handle ATLAS, EZT, ELAN-K2 (BAFA), SNAP-R (US-EAR) with confidence.
- You are a communicative and team-oriented person who speaks good English, can orientate yourself at interfaces and is willing to travel.
